Beatrice

A home and a future for mother and newborn baby

Beatrice found herself living homeless after the man who brought her to the UK threw her out when she fell pregnant.

‍

Living homeless while pregnant brought immense challenges. Unable to plan how she would provide for her daughter, life was incredibly unstable. When she found temporary accommodation with a charity, Beatrice could not stay after she gave birth.

Beatrice found Just Homes through her social worker, and she was able to move in immediately after giving birth to Jada. Both she and Jada were welcomed and celebrated – Just Homes provided a place to live, meals and care for both of them, and provided practical assistance so Beatrice could start to make goals and financial plans for the future.

Both Beatrice and Jada are flourishing together as they build towards living independently as a family.
