Sharndeep escaped her abusive husband after being in the UK for only three months.

Sharndeep's life was controlled by her husband. She was left with no support network, no home or finances, not even basic English. She didn't know how to survive in this country.

Just Homes supported her every day: helping her to access local services, understand her surroundings, and learn English. When her husband attempted to revoke her visa, we sorted legal advice and solicitor, so that she could receive a DV visa. This turned her life around.

Now Sharndeep has confidence and hope about her future. Her resilience shines through. She is saving money and looking for work so she can continue to build an independent life not just for her, but for her daughter too.
